PRLog (Press Release)– Jun 14, 2011– Austin, Texas — A monthly event called Hot Rods by the Slice, created by Murpho's Rods and Customs and Rockin Tomato on South Lamar, has teamed up with the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) for their June 18th event. They will be collecting canned goods and dry goods throughout the day with all items to benefit Capital Area Food Bank's effort to end hunger. They are asking everyone to donate two or more, healthy non-perishable food items for donation, all of which benefits CAFB.
"The Hot Rods by the Slice event is an example of creating a fun community event with a focus on giving back to the community at the same time," notes Murph from Murpho's Rods and Customs. "More so now than ever, people are stepping up to serve their commu ferrari nities, and people are realizing that hunger is a reality in ev aston martin ery town, not only in our most challenged communities. The south Austin family should be proud of this effort."
